Following a recipe from Cumberland, England, this banger is seasoned with nutmeg, mace, white pepper, breadcrumbs, and apple wood smoked bacon from Vande Rose Farms which “Cooks Illustrated” judged to be the best premium bacon available. Our banger is also made with Vande Rose’s Duroc pork. It’s easy to imagine this link as part of a hearty English breakfast with savory grilled tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, toast, and scrambled eggs or with pancakes and maple syrup. Later in the day our Cumberland banger is great with mashed potatoes and gravy.
